What really is going on in the state of Trengganu. Having secured two thirds majority surely that would be an advantage to BN/UMNO as compared to Perak and Selangor in terms of appointing an MB and state exco.
The Palace had chosen Rahin Mohd Said as the MB to succeed Idris Jusoh. 23 state assemblymen are planning to boycott the swearing ceremony of the newly appointed MB. When Lim Kit Siang directed the 15 DAP members to boycott the swearing ceremony of the newly appointed MB for Perak,(which he later withdrew) his action was considered as disrespect to the sultan of Perak. A demo was staged demanding Lim to make an opened apology to the Sultan.
Will all the 23 state assembly who are planning to boycott the swearing ceremony be considered as disrespect and loyal to the sultan of Trengganu or what is then.
Accordingly the newly appointed MB does not deserved their support as there is a pending corruption case against him and for some other reasons as well. Before the election, we were told that all BN candidates contesting in the election had been cleared by the police and BPR. This sure needs some explanations as to why was able to contest the election. To stretch it further, we could assumed that the palace had not got the right advices from people who were supposed to inform the sultan.
Will the swearing ceremony of the newly appointed MB be held as scheduled, or will it back to square one i.e looking for another state assemblyman for the job of MB Trengganu.
By the way is Idris Jusoh clean and qualified enough to be offered a second term as MB, otherwise on what basis is his nomination as MB been declined by the Sultan.
